Erin Duggan, CDME, serves as the President and CEO at Visit Sarasota County where she leads a team of marketing and sales professionals to shape the strategic direction of group sales, media placement, communications, research, and intellectual property management to ensure that Sarasota County is seen as a must experience travel destination to potential visitors all across the world.

Mrs. Duggan graduated from Florida Southern College in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Communications Arts and went on to serve in positions for The City of Casselberry, United Way of Manatee County, and the Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County before beginning work with Visit Sarasota County in 2005.

In 2012, Mrs. Duggan earned her C.D.M.E. (Certification in Destination Management Executive), a program through Purdue University and Destinations International (DI).

She served as the Junior League of Sarasota President (2017 – 2018), where she has been a member since 2001. She also currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Community Foundation, and for the Lakewood Ranch Community Activities, and is a graduate of Leadership Sarasota and, Gulf Coast Community Leadership Institute and is the Leadership Florida Cornerstone 42 Class. She resides in Sarasota, Florida with her husband Patrick, and two teenage sons.
