Michael Corrigan is the president and CEO of Visit Jacksonville, the city’s destination marketing organization. In June 2018, Michael began leading a dedicated group of tourism experts as they market and sell Jacksonville as one of Florida’s top leisure and business destinations. Michael embraces Visit Jacksonville’s mission by growing the awareness of Jacksonville as a premier location for vacations, meetings and conventions, and tourism-related businesses.

Before his time at Visit Jacksonville, Michael was elected Duval County Tax Collector from 2011 to 2018. He was elected to the Jacksonville City Council from 2003 to 2011, and was City Council President in 2006-2007. Michael has a long history of involvement with and commitment to community service and has spent decades working with great organizations that focus on mentoring, job creation, elimination of poverty, leadership development and neighborhood improvement. Michael, a Jacksonville native and lifelong resident, is married to Edna Corrigan and is the proud father of three adult children and one granddaughter.
