TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Yesterday, the Bay County Board of County Commissioners unanimously adopted a resolution in support of full funding for VISIT FLORIDA and Enterprise Florida. Ken Lawson, President & CEO of VISIT FLORIDA, made the following statement:

Ken Lawson said, “Thank you to the Bay County Board of County Commissioners for their adamant support of VISIT FLORIDA and our tourism marketing efforts. The Board clearly recognizes the vital role that tourism plays for small businesses in Bay County and job creation for families across Florida. As we increase transparency and accountability at VISIT FLORIDA, we will also place an added emphasis on the value of tourism marketing in Florida to demonstrate why a 67 percent cut to these efforts would cost tens of thousands of jobs.”
