Hal Herman

Hal Herman is the founder and chairman of Worth International, which has produced many ground-breaking publications promoting Florida as a destination for nearly half a century.

With over 50 years of experience in Florida’s tourism industry, Hal knows the industry like no other. He is a graduate of the University of Florida (1949, BAJ Journalism) where he was elected to the yearbook “Hall of Fame.”

His experiences include: Past president, chairman and/or trustee of many civic and professional organizations including SKAL, AdFed, Florida Tourism Association and several Chambers of Commerce; Currently member of Broward Leadership Council, American Diabetes Association, Board of Directors Women in Distress; Chair, Advisory Board for University of Florida, Center for Tourism Research and Development.


Austin L. Mott, III

Austin L. Mott, III is the founding president and CEO for VISIT FLORIDA, which is now recognized throughout the world as the model of a successful private/public tourism marketing organization.

Under his leadership, VISIT FLORIDA grew from a corporation with combined public and private funding of $41.8 million in FY 1996/1997 to more than $89.5 million in FY 2000/2001. A 30-year tourism industry veteran, Mott previously directed major resort properties in the North and Southeastern United States, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico. Mott served two two-year terms on the NCSTD Board of Directors as well as serving on the TIA Board of Directors.


Frank and Betty Usina

Frank and Betty Usina have long advocated the importance of nature-based tourism in Florida and have been extremely active in promoting not only their own region, but the entire state as a visitor destination.
